Kok-Du (Kim Jung-Hyun) once angered God. As punishment for his actions, he turned into a Grim Reaper. As an angel of death, he is cold and cruel. His job is to bring the spirits of the dead into the world after death. Once every 99 years, Kok-Du descends to this world and has a human body similar to himself. He killed evil people who deserved death. This time he was born possessing Do Jin-Woo’s human body. He then becomes involved with Han Gye-Jeol (Lim Soo-Hyang).
Han Gye-Jeol works as a visiting doctor. Because he graduated from the lowest medical school in the country, he was bullied by those who disparaged his credentials. His mother died when he was young and he only has one younger brother. He has no one who really cares about him. When Do Jin-Woo appeared in front of her, he was the first person in her life to side with her. Her everyday life changes because of him.
